Of equal importance to our future is the health of nature, the human need for diversity and a robust ecosystem is clear from recent events. Our ability to adapt dampened by reliance on dwindling resources and a compromised earth. Though conservation has been on the agenda for decades, its progress has stalled because of overarching interests and competing needs.

Now, our world must observe a simpler existence and reframe from excess for survival. Under this stillness the wild has hope to re-surge, an absence of pollution and constant harvest allows nature to rebound if we use the opportunity wisely.

The Global Charter for Rewilding the Earth is a collective memorandum of understanding to emphasize restoring the remaining vestiges of nature and to expand their presence in our world. Its relevance touches us all and distills the role we can play in the rewilding of earth.
