Romantic (Bloke Friendly) Recipe – Tart of Hearts (Serves Two)
Ingredients (Crust)
1 cup macadamia paste
(soak 130 grams of macadamias overnight, rinse and blend with 1 espresso and seeds of half a vanilla pod)
1 tablespoon of coconut flour
1 tablespoon of Coconut Oil / Butter
Ingredients (filling)
1 cup fresh blueberries
2 cups of Raw Cacao Powder
2 tablespoons Agave Syrup
4 tablespoons coconut cream
Directions
Blend wet ingredients for the crust to a smooth consistency then slowly sift flour and stir until a soft dough forms. Line one large or two small-medium tart cases with cling film and press the mixture into each (tip: use a dipping bowl of water to wet your fingers).
Place in a preheated oven 200 degrees F for 8-12 minutes or until slightly golden. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before adding filling.
Next add all the ingredients for your filling into a blender and whiz to a rich velvet cream consistency – pour into cooled tart cases and chill in the fridge for 7 hours or in the freezer for 3 hours.
Garnish with a sprinkle of Mesquite Powder and side serve of fresh cherries.
