Use your blog to help save a dog:
Bloggers Unite for Dog Rescue, a special online global event (July 23, 2012), stressing the importance of dog adoption.
BTC4animals.com is proud to partner with Blog Catalog, Dog Rescue Success and YOU to harness a global online community to help save the lives of dogs in need.
The statistics reflected in the following statement are mirrored elsewhere, including Australia where animal loving societies such as the RSPCA encourage adoption of abanoned or abused animals.
According to the Humane Society of the United States, “Nationwide, only about 20 percent of dogs in homes come from shelters—the rest come from other sources. It would only take a relatively small increase in the adoption rate along with a modest reduction in the birth rate to go a long way toward solving the problem of euthanizing healthy and treatable dogs in many communities.”
Heres how you can help:
Adopt a companion
Foster a homeless pet
Volunteer at a local shelter or rescue organization
Donate to a local dog rescue organization or shelter
Share inspiring stories and media that help raise awareness for animal adoption
The ‘Something Good’ video featured here is visual reminder of the joy and companionship one gets from inviting animals into our lives. It captures a day in the life of Monkey, a rescue dog.
Cleverly matched with a well know tune (“I’m into Something Good” by the Bird and the Bee) this video by Robin Layton and Michael Cross, sends a feel good message that everyone can relate to – “Adopt a pet – you’ll both be into something good!”
