The 2011 Cruelty Free Festival, now in it’s sixth season presents the conscious consumer with a bevy of better choices and the ‘freedom to choose’.
Celebrating our furry friends the festival is an opportunity to hear how making small and simple changes to one’s lifestyle can help reduce the suffering of animals.
Festivalgoers can discover companies that produce ethical wares and don’t test on animals, sample delicious cruelty free food or sit back and enjoy the jam-packed program of live entertainment.
Learn how you can save animals: sponsor a rescued animal, adopt a homeless animal, find out which products are tested on animals.
Cooking demos: Celebrity chef Suzy Spoon and Leigh Drew who will be launching her new cookbook at the festival offer meat-free motivation to compliment over 60 stalls offering vegan food for you to try.
Live bands and all-day entertainment: Performing live will be The Black Stars, Heartbreak Club, Sonic Porno, Liz Bowie and Leigh-Chantelle, with more still to be announced…
Inspirational speakers, performers, authors and chefs will be on hand — lending their skills and sharing their passion for animals at this meat-free, mash-up of fun for friends-of-the-furry!
Entry is free and there is something for everyone! Engaging, enlightening and most of all empowering — the festival reminds us of our ‘freedom to choose’ for the betterment of animals and the health of people and the planet.
Held at Belmore Park, Sydney on Sunday the 30th October from 10am-5pm
