Since 2009, the Rainforest Alliance has helped community groups and businesses in Bolivia’s Northern La Paz Department to adopt sustainable forestry and become more competitive. The results of this effort include safer working conditions, a higher standard of living for local families and stronger organizations that are better prepared to defend more than 350,000 acres of Amazon rainforest from deforestation.
