Coastal ecosystems offer a wealth of unique flora and fauna for photographers, but the environment’s harsh elements can pose a threat to our expensive equipment. Hand-held photography at eye-level can be particularly challenging when dealing with sea spray and sand. To overcome this, we need a surface that is soft, absorbent, and sand-repelling to protect our precious kit.

Tesalate is a revolutionary beach towel that creates a sand-repelling surface, keeping your expensive gear free of unwanted debris. It’s also super comfortable to lie on, making it ideal for photographers patiently waiting for the perefect shot. Made from AbsorbLite microfiber, a highly sustainable material made from a blend of polyester and polyamide fibers that are finer than a human hair. Woven together they create a fabric that is soft, lightweight, absorbent, easy to clean and durable.
Whether you’re spending a day at the beach or hiking in the forest, these towels provide a versatile and comfortable surface for outdoor activities or indoor use, such as workouts, home décor, or as a cozy blanket.
It all began with a hike!
While enjoying a day out at Sydney’s Royal National Park, Tesalate founders Volkan and Jacky, along with their friends, were faced with the hassle of carrying sand-filled towels. This experience inspired them to create a better-performing and stylish towel.
After more than a year of research and design, the Australian brand launched at the Bondi Beach Markets in 2016. Beachgoers quickly fell in love with the towel’s unique feature to repel sand, making it a game-changer.
