The vast treasures of Europe’s natural world reveal a stunning array of wild wonders – some hidden in seculded regions, others surfacing in suburbia.
Educating people on the value and presence of such diversity is key to preserving the last of the wild. As part of a growing photographic project ‘Wild Wonders of Europe’ captures the beuaty of the conntinent and helps renew public interest in their natural heritage.
The result is an exquisite archive of rare and native species, media presented in open spaces – as outdoor exhibitions, compelling visuals that support conservation efforts and an invested network of talented photographers – fearless in the pursuit of images that will tell a story about a species and expand our knowledge of the wild.
One such photographer, Staffan Widstrand the co-founder of Wild Wonders of Europe, has spent many hours amongst the wolves and wildflowers. His images reflect both ‘Beauty and the Beast’ illuminating a dualling perspective of nature.
